Para o deputado a lei é antiga e precisa ser revista
O deputado federal Newton Lima (PT-SP) propôs ao ministro das Comunicações, Paulo Bernardo, que encaminhe à presidência da Câmara a realização de uma comissão-geral para debater a Lei Geral das Telecomunicações (Lei nº 9.472 de 1997). A proposta foi feita nesta quarta-feira (26), durante a audiência pública em que foram apresentadas as ações do governo federal no âmbito do Plano Nacional de Banda Larga, na Comissão de Ciência e Tecnologia, Comunicação e Informática (CCTCI).
Para o deputado, que é membro titular da CCTCI, “a lei é antiga e precisa ser revista. É preciso que Câmara e esta comissão assumam a liderança desse projeto”, defendeu. A proposta para realizar a comissão-geral consta no relatório elaborado pelo parlamentar e apresentado no fim do ano passado na CCTCI.
O documento também recomenda o aprimoramento do PNBL por meio da liberação dos recursos dos fundos setoriais (Funttel, Fust e Fistel) para ampliação da infraestrutura da Banda Larga. Propõe, ainda, a alteração do regime jurídico da prestação de serviço de Banda Larga, de privado para público. O ministro concordou com a proposta de discutir a Lei Geral das Telecomunicações para adequá-la á realidade do país.
